New Construction In Central Maryland

There are multiple opportunities to purchase new construction throughout Central Maryland. The process of purchasing various depending upon your specific situation, however there are certain steps you can take to be more successful, and make the entire process more enjoyable. I’ve been a licensed associate broker for 15 years, and involved with building and selling new homes for 20. It is important to work with an agent/builder that understands new construction. You wouldn’t want your primary car physician to perform a “specialty” surgery...hire a specialist.

Step 1: Get Pre-qualified
Step 2: Determine where in Central Maryland you’d like to live
Step 3: Determine...the style home, amenities, lot size, community/rural features you’d prefer
Step 4: Call me, or another qualified agent, to help with preliminary research
Step 5: Schedule an appointment to see your preferred choices
Step 6: Have your agent complete all the necessary research relevant to your choices
Step 7: Meet the builder and discuss all options. Don’t leave without getting viable references
Step 8: Analyze all options: quotes, incentives, potential appreciation/growth of area, etc...
Step 9: Make an offer

*Obviously if you have a house to sell, I can assist you in determining a realistic fair market value. Most builders will give you a certain number of days (30-60) to secure a ready, willing and able buyer for your current home. Some of your larger builders will start construction prior to you selling your current home, provided you give them a large ($10,000 or more) unsecured deposit.
